Haven Updates: April 12, 2014

Geeze, we need to get rid of these cobwebs... I'm working on that!






Last update, I mentioned BADGES being added. Well, I have changed the name to TRINKETS and added a crapton of them. There are currently 25 trinkets, each having a special set of circumstances to get them. Some are inside jokes. Do your best and see what you can figure out and grab!



I added some new fields to your profile to fill out. Go check them. Expect more to be added in the next month or so as I work on things. Have an idea? Just toss it my way.



Remember the old Karma system? It's back, but now each user has a number of lives they collect! You can chose to kill or revive your fellow users. In the future, this will be used for some sort of forum game or allowing access to certain areas of the site. Again, this is still in the planning. So just enjoy the fun of murdering your fellow users!



Moneh had been tweaked a little bit. It still displays on our profiles, and you still earn it through posting. Now it had been condensed to one total! You earn Moneh, or "m", by posting! You get a little Moneh by posting anywhere on the site. Currently, you gain MORE Moneh by posting in the Roleplay section. You also gain more Moneh by starting a board in comparison to just replying to one.
In the future, there will be a shop in which you can spend your Moneh to buy items, which can be traded in for Trinkets or other specialties. Again, this is still in the works so stay tuned!



You can now whisper users! These will be messages in posts that only selected users can see. You can do this by, in the reply box, using the whisper command. For example...

To be noted that admins CAN see what you whisper... So don't think you can abuse it!



You'll love this. You can now hide text behind pictures! So, how do we do this? Hover over the picture of a Pokemon below to find out how!

[presto]By using the tags presto (in [ ] of course) and then putting the link of an image (also in [ ]), you can then type whatever you wish before closing the PRESTO TAG ONLY. Feel free to experiment with this in the future. It might take you awhile before you get it![/presto]

The main site layout has been changed with a new background and banner. Feel free to provide feedback to me about it. I thought the place could use some spicing up, you know?


Lord Callidus was so kind as to provide us with a new site layout for us to enjoy. You can find it by going to edit your profile. It's under the "settings" tab.




Now whenever you post in some areas of the site, you might get a little ribbon on the bottom of your post. They're counting the numbers of words you've typed! With a small margin of error, it'll award you the highest number it can give you. There are currently 5 ribbons that can be awarded!
For 100 words, you get a simple Bronze medal on a red and blue ribbon.
For 500 words, you'll get a shiny Silver medal on a teal, yellow and pink ribbon.
For 1,000 words, you'll get a gleaming Gold medal on a green and yellow ribbon.
For 5,000 words, you'll get a pretty Platinum medal on a red, yellow, and pink ribbon.
And if you can get to 10,000 words, you'll get a hunk of DIAMOND medal with a wonderful green and blue ribbon!
If anyone can get past 10,000.... I'll need to get another one....




I don't think I mentioned this last time but a watchful eye will notice a spell checker. Yeaaaaah. We shouldn't need any typos. Except from me. Me English no gud.
